Hello All, New here,

My two daughters are newly certified. I have bought them both the same gear.
We have notice on some rental gear the items are marked with some sort of permanent markings.

What do most people use to mark their Gear?

Thanks for the help,

IrnBear

They sell paint pens that mark things pretty well, but for solid plastic or metal items, I like surfboard decals.

I used nail polish on my fins and it lasted a very long time. Don't think I would use this on any of my bcd fabric or neoprene, but don't see why it couldn't be used on the plastic on bcd (ie: buckles or carry handle. For the last number of years I haven't bothered to peel the blue protective film that came with my bcd and covers two buckles. Makes my bcd stand out right off, though the blue film is starting to peel and breakdown just through use. Still has lasted a number of years.

I use aluminum wheel paint and a fine brush - it reflects really well UW.

There was a thread a while back about using plastic dog tags.

Ill have to do a search for this. Thanks.

This sounds like a good idea.
Do you have a picture you can post of the markings on your gear?
I assume it lasts?

Thanks,
