has anyone ever tried MARES x-stream yet?

how is it as compared to excel plus open heel?

please share any of your experiences and thoughts, thank you
 
I got a pair to test out when we first got them into the shop in May. They are a great fin! Light and flexible but stiffer than the Volo Powers.

Everything was looking great on them until today when they broke at the joint during a dive. The rubber flex point in front of the foot pocket broke...not a happy camper right now. Little peeved because I leave for Bonaire on Saturday and now need a new fin. The X-Streams are so hard to come by that I don't think I'll be able to get a replacement in time.
