Hey Greenhonu,

Sorry, I know this may be a bit late but I'm new to the board. I use the new Cressi Rondine open heeled fins and love the way they perform. Not much effort required to maneuver at all. I also use the Cressi Pro Star for recreational snorkeling when all I just want to take with me is a mask and fins.

Why limit yourself to those two choices? I personally would recommend the Atomic splitfins. I've got the Liquid Blue splits, and they feel like an extension of my feet. In addition to incredible comfort, they also give you a ton of speed and power.
