Hi All
I have a Mares Nemo Wide and my son has started diving using a Mares Smart. After 30 years of diving I was happy with my dog eared, salt soaked, soggy Dive Log. My Son is keen to download his dive data, and has convinced me of the merits (maybe). It turns out we need different PC interface cables the DRAK for my Nemo and the Divelink for the Smart. I can think of better scuba gear to spend $150 dollars on than 2 sync cables, so would like to make the cable detailed by several forum members.
I am a very capable handyman, so assembly, soldering and following instructions dont worry me, BUT, what I know about electronic circuit logic I can write on the back of a postage stamp!

Can anyone help with "explain it like i'm 5" assembly instructions?
thanks
Alan

Hello all,
I just wanted to let you know that I have built the cable using specifications given by Bigay in the post No. 78 of this thread and it works with my Mares Smart computer (software version 0.05). I used the Dive Organizer v2.20.0.7846 I downloaded from the Mares site on Windows 7 x64. The software recognized the Smart without any problems and I was able to download all of my dives data.
I also wanted to try it with my Android phone (using OTG cable) and the DiveMate app that they advertise on the Mares site but it is not available in my country (Montenegro). I asked the developers for help, will see if they unlock it for my country.

Thank you all and keep up the good work!

Hello Everybody,

i orderd a new Mares Smart and build my own small PCB with USB micro and a great way to connect the Dive Computer. Unfortunately, my dive computer is still not shipped. So maybe one of you could help me?!
I need the distance between the two screws for PC-Connection and which one is DI/O and which one is GND. It would be really great if someone could write me a personal message. I just want to verify the data i will get from you! I will post the correct data in this thread!
Maybe someone is interested in my own dive link as well?

thanks to all of you for your help!

I made it!
Many thanks for all divers here supported this title...
I build it on a bread board with jumper cables to make it easy to understand.
Soon, I will upload step by step images to make electronics rookies like me to build up easier.
It took a very long time for me to understand the logic behind and so understanding the connections.
But viewing a very detailed dive chart at the end is really priceless...

Thanks again!

PS : Sorry for giant images. I choose them for very beginners like me! It took a while for me to find which end is negative for BAT85 out!

Breadboard

Hi are you able to upload the breadboard layouts please?

Thank you!
Of course, PM me your e-mail.
Hi Andrew, any chance you could email me the board layout for the drak interface please?
Thanks
