hi there
i m working as an instructor on a remote island down in the southern islands of japan and have recently taken off my proton reg due to its constant freeflowing and popping.its not warrantied although its just over a year old as i had it in storage.it worked fine for the first 2 months but now freeflows badly with pressures over 100 bar. im using the occy for my main reg now.
i have usually serviced my own regs in the past but i can`t even work out how to open this reg! any advice would be appreciated

I suggest you take it to a service center. Sounds more like a 1st stage issue rather than a 2nd stage issue. It is not possible to diagnose your issues over the internet. While we don't recommend the end user to work on the regulator unless properly trained, there is a small plastic pin on the second stage that needs to be removed and then the cover can be turned in a counter clockwise direction to open. I recommend a small dental pick or similar tool to pry the pin out.

Best,

Zac thanks once again
its ok now but i ll get it serviced next opportunity....its a great reg though!
regards
paul
