The best dive mask I ever owned was the Mares Prima mask.
The skirt and strap was semi-opaque soft white silicone. The two lens were surrounded by a blue semi-hard plastic. It was small.
The Prima was soft and compfortable. The skirt and strap were almost spongy. Perfect seal - never leaked. Very low volume, could clear it a dozen times on one breath. The strap could be let out to put it on and then easily tightened up to a loose but comfortable fit. Good visibility.
From memory, I bought it about 1985. After 10 years, it got old so I retired it. Then it got lost during several international moves.
How I miss that mask!
I have tried dozens of masks but none of them are quite like my old Mares Prima.
Why did Mares stop making them? Is there anything out there as good? Does anyone know someone at Mares and can convince them to make the Prima again?
Regards
Peter
