Hi,

I am currently looking to buy a dive computer - either the Suunto Vyper or the Mares M1 RGBM.
Plenty of people can give advice about the Suunto computers - but no one seems to have anything to say about the Mares.

Does anyone here own a Mares M1 RGBM (or the M1) and is it worth buying?

Thanks.

And if you would like to be a gently used M1 that's only seen fresh water, let me know. ;)

Boggie the link you posted doesn´t work...

i thought you had sold you m1 already.....

i was wondering about the M1 opinions sometime ago and were divided...bad and goods ...nothing clear....the model seems to be good overall speaking but mares did not learn from its design mistakes (defective buttons, small screen and display..etc)..it´s a shame because i think the features/price ratio is quite interesting...

i´m not sure if mares include deep stops in the rgbm version (recreative a folded one over a bulhman style model) in the newer m1 .

The new M1 RGBM does include deep stops. I've had mine for a while now it seems to perform just as stated. The buttoms are indeed hard to push but you get used to it. If you were wearing dry suit gloves I could imagine it would be even harder.
