Good point, Mike. don't want to be pointing down all the time, and there will be alot of underwater ballet otherwise.

Thanks for the link Meekal - I didn't know they sold those. Maybe a good alternative to the slate on a string concept - loc-line won't tend to float around into your shot. And I can get that stuff CHEAP! ;-)

And also, I like the wrist mounted velcro model (everybody is so full of good ideas today!) Thanks for the photo!

Here is another possibility. Buy a white colored rash guard and have your buddy wear it during the dive. Then just White Balance on his arm, shoulder or belly. Sounds crazy I know, but it works!

My wife had the Dräger Dolphin rebreather with a white back: very nice to white balance :-)

I have the Amphibico white balance card and before that I used a normal white plastic card which was attached to the BCD with a, puh I don't know the english word...reel with a spring? Do you know what I mean? Worked perfectly.

Cheers Uli

I just keep a small wetnotes book in my pocket and use that. It isn:t official wb grey or whatever but it works just fine, is flexible and doesn:t take up much space at all.
