Young Maltese Diver Found Dead After Going Missing In Baħar Iċ-Ċagħaq - Lovin Malta
A 20 year-old diver has been found dead around 24 hours after he went missing during a diving expedition.

Neil Zammit had gone diving in the area between White Rocks and the Splash and Fun water park with a 38 year-old friend.

However, the two divers failed to surface, prompting the Armed Forces of Malta to send out a helicopter, a patrol boat and a number of divers to search for them. While Zammit’s friend was found, the young himself remained missing until this afternoon when divers retrieved his corpse.

The search for Zammit was temporarily suspended earlier today after a shark was spotted swimming in the area close to where he had last been seen.
