Making your own forum

Hey all,

I love what you have done here at the scubaboard forum. I was wondering what services or software did you use to make this forum? I just want to make a forum for my friends and I. As we get older we lose touch with each other and find it harder to keep in touch and arrange times to get together. SO, I want to arrange a personal forum. Nice and simple. Not something as fancy as what you have done.
Any pointers would be much appreiciated.

There are many forum programs and services out there, which one is ideal for you is really a matter of what your personal preference is. We use and recommend vbulletin (www.vbulletin.com) along with a slew of custom modifications. You may want to go to their site and ask about your options as the users there can tell far more than we can.
