Hey guys, I just saw the message over on the Florida boards. My wife and I might be interested in coming over for the day one day, but I was wondering if anyone had condensed all of the details in this thread. My ADD prevents me from reading and absorbing everything at once . What exactly is planned for the day(s) (besides diving). Is there anything fun to do for non-divers planned, and/or are there going to be any bubble-watchers that want to babysit my three monster kids

My plans can be changed, but this is pretty much what I had in mind...

Saturday

-Arrive at Vortex at 8AM, meet up with whoever is there, do a morning dive
-Goto Morrison and do a dive
-Do a second dive at Morrison and clean up as much trash from the run as possible
-Eat at Sally's
-Go back to Vortex and socialize with everyone in attendance
-Dive?
-Vortoberfest madness
-Night Dive at Vortex
-More Vortoberfest madness


Sunday

Goto Vernon and setup the boat - run up to Cypress for a dive
Do a second dive at Cypress
Maybe follow that dive up with another at Becton(???)

Go home and sleep

I met some women online and they want me to meet them with a guy or two....on Friday... Something I would do, but I am scared and would need some more single backup. Want to come on Friday...Who else on here is single?? :07:

Thought this would help you guys heading up this weekend
on gas prices.....

I was at Vortex on Thursday with SeaYoda and we dove at Morrison.

Gas at the Ponce de Leon at I-10 were PRICY. Over $3/gallon.
up to $3.20 to $3.29/gallon. Same thing at I-10 and DeFuniak Springs.

Gas in the "metropolis" of Ponce de Leon at the corner of hwy 81
and hwy 10 area was much cheaper. (can't remember the station name).
But it was under $3/gallon.

We stayed down on the beach and many of the gas stations along
hwy 98 were out of gas. I mean about 3/4ths of them had bags
on the pumps. I saw this all over the place and up Hwy 331 all
the way to Florala.

I don't know why so many stations are still running dry on the
pumps, but wanted to share it with you guys so you could
keep an eye on high prices and low fuel gauges.


Wish I could be there, but my SUV sucked down $180 in gas coming
down and back on this past trip, so I think I'm sit this one out.

Stopped off on the way home from La Place, LA today and picked up some Abita Purple Haze and Abita Amber for the trip. Unfortunately, they were out of Abita TurboDog... If I goto LA again this week, I may try again, depending on time and whether or not I go.

Gotta pick up some R'Dale sausage as requested and I'll be ready to go

LOL! :laughing: I really needed that laugh....cuz.....AAAARRRRGGGGGHHH!!! My li'l S-10 overheated today! It was a wee bit low on coolant but that didn't fix it. New thermostat now and prayin' that does it. Can anyone tell me how to ignore that "inner voice" that keeps tryin' to convince me not to leave town this weekend??? Inner voice---><---the diver in me!
