Actually, it isn't illegal to catch lobsters while diving. You just have to release them (or eat them) before you get to the surface!
Just kidding. Joe is right though -- no taking lobsters by diving in Maine or NH for that matter. Check out this site -- lots of diving close to Portland Central Maine Muck Divers . I really enjoyed Ships cove located at Portland Head Lighthouse just south of Portland. Plenty of parking, nice grassy area and the diving is great - especially along the left side of the cove.

A month without diving????? Recreational Scallop season has started in Maine... so that means diving year round!!!!

hey just wanted to update by saying my brother lives like five min. from rockport marina and i should be up there this summer (hopefuly) So if anyone knows any sites around this area let me know..........thanks
