Madison Quarry - 2007 Open dates thread (and discussion)

Is that the 25th of Sept or was that yesterday the 25th (August)? I guess yesterday since the 25th of Sept is mid week. Didn't know they were open yesterday.

Looks like a wrench has been thrown into diving Madison this weekend. (see below) Hopefully they'll get it straightened out so we can head back out there soon.

September 1st Madison Quarry dives cancelled
Due to circumstances beyond our control the quarry dives for this Saturday September 1 have been cancelled.

Is this thread to be exclusive to Madison Quarry? What about a weekend to Moulton, especially if Madison is not available this weekend?

Oh, phooey. I was trying to get some people together and everything. Guess I'll have to try again later... again.

Unfortunately, September 14-16 is the next checkout trip from my LDS. Well, maybe the next, next one, then. (I think Madison is still the odds-on favorite to beat Mammoth Lake in the "I'll get to dive there... eventually" contest.)

Madison only thread? .... Kinda sorta.

I spun it off out of the Madison or Moulton thread because I thought there would be enough usefull info as it's open on a sporatic schedule with short notice.

Feel free to start a "Moulton Quarry discussion thread (200x)". I'm sure folks where will get some use out of it. (especially if Madison doesn't open anymore this year).


Clay, I'm not sure they will be open the 15th/16th as sorta planned also. Need to wait and see.

Yeah... this is the second time we've planned to go and it got cancelled out. Last time they called the day before and had to go get a refund. I guess we'll plan on not making plans to go when they schedule another date.

We are talking about diving Moulton this weekend now that Madison is closed. We should know on Thursday.
