I just use my 7mm boots in MX. They work fine and most of my cave dives down there are 2-3+hrs anyway

wool socks are superior to both lycra and neoprene, in my opinion. [/URL]
No, a full foot fin will only fit over lycra socks. I use the same fin in both cold and warm water and just change the bootie. Will these booties work with over the foot fins as well? Which booties are suggested?
Lycra socks in cold water help with warmth. They are instrumental in donning wetsuits both wet and dry. I take them off after donning wetsuit in warm water, but I was just informed that leaving them on helps with soft tissue damage caused by sand in the low cut bootie. I use the low cut bootie so I can use the same open heel fins in cold and warm water. Why are you all wearing socks under your booties?
I've always just worn low cut in summer and hi top in winter without socks (open heel fins).
Wet wool tends to bunch and sag and won't compete with neoprene for longevity.
