I like these…work well with full foot fins and in boots & boat booties. They are a bit more substantial than plain lycra. I pick up extras when I can catch them on sale. 🤿😊
 
Darn tough socks are the best with a great replacement policy.
 
Wearing size 15 I don’t find all of the options available the people with normal feet do, if I see thin booties at a good price I buy several pair. I use them in the pool for a few years and will tank them on a warm water trip and leave them behind.

For the most part for shore diving I have found water shoes like Mr. Westfall pointed out on the first page and various type of socks, Lycra thin neoprene that seal well above the ankle to be the best solution to ground toes, I also will bring a pair of socks that are to tight for comfort under normal use and wear those to keep the grit away from my toes and throw them away afterward.

There is no one answer that works for everyone! A side note on beefy socks, one size fit all is not true.
