That's why I'm

Luxfor buoyancy: -1 and 1.2, old; compared to -1 and 1.3, new.

Doing the actual arithmetic, the new bottle is .43" wider and 2.55" shorter, so that's more significant than indicated with first look. However, it is not intuitively obvious to this casual observer how that impacts. (not trolling, I just don't get it.)

Edit: Are you guys discussing the differences between Luxfor old and Luxfor new? Or between the Catalina and the Luxfor new?

It doesn't help that different websites have different data for the same tanks.

Does Luxfer still make the smaller diameter (4.87 ") 30cf pony ?

At the moment I would say no.

So far as whether or not new old-spec Luxfer Al30's can be purchased still, my closest LDS doesn't know for sure. I hope to hear back from another LDS in the next day or so.

I have three of the old Luxfer 30s that I am going to take off this set when I sell the manifold on Ebay. Tanks were made 4/87 and need a hydro before use. I was going to sell the tanks locally but if you are interested and want to pay the freight let me know.

Is that the 3/4" or 1" manifold, not much demand for the 1" manifold without the 1" tanks.

Anyone found any new information on this ? Have not had time to research it any but
will hold off on new and look for a used smaller diameter luxfer 30cf pony. Would prefer
something a bit newer, maybe 2005 or later (4.87 ") diameter.
