Who teaches a deco course. Is it safe to dive on air and than deco on nitrox?

You can learn these things in an IANTD advanced nitrox course. there are probably others too. however, I think you're moving too fast.... slow down and get your dive skills squared away first.

LOL.
You forgot:

__I know I am qualified for this dive based on the advanced technical diver training I received on the Internet.

When I am past 40' I stay close to my buddy.

And, keeping in mind you ran OOA already on a dive where you didn't have gear issues, how do you know that if your buddy blows an o-ring that the remaning gas that you have can get both of you back to the surface?

If you're at 100 fsw on an AL80 you need to be leaving for the surface when you hit 1300 psi. If you're at 130 fsw, you need to be leaving for the surface when you hit 1800 psi.

700 psi at 100-130 fsw in an AL80 is not enough.

Look up "rock bottom"

I will try to take the PADI AOW course this summer with the same instructor that gave me my OW cert. I will try to stay above 130' now, until I get more dives in.

You should stay above 60 until you have a bunch more dives and have taken at least Stress & Rescue and Deep diving classes (or the equiv. with your cert agency).

This isn't meant as an insult, it's just that the deeper you go, the faster things can turn into sh**. You have much less margin of error for gas management at 130 because you're sucking it down much faster, and the ascent time is longer.

If you're at 40 or 50 feet and you don't pay attention to your gas for a little while, you might look at it and notice you're starting to run low. If you're at 140 (which puts you into deco pretty much immediately) and you lost track of your gas, you could easily end up without enough to do the required deco stop (assuming you knew where and how long) and a safe ascent.

If I go into deco, and I am low on air what is the best way to complete the deco faster? My max depth is 140' right now, I am diving with just compressed air right now.

I recently completed my 103rd logged dive. My max depth to date is 124', and until I get my technical training, that's good enough for me. Most tech courses won't even look at you until you have at least 100 logged dives and 30 of them are on Nitrox. And you certainly need more than an Open Water cert.

Nothing beats training and experience. Learn to dive well, first. Take courses upon courses if you want. If your buddy is taking you down to 140' knowing full well your training limits you to 60', I'd choose a better buddy. One that actually cares about your safety.

If you rush, and something happens, you may never dive again.

Safe diving, mate.

I am stuck with my dive buddy, he is my uncle. That is the only person that I dive with.

Then I suggest you read The Last Dive by Bernie Chowdhury.

Please see my post in your pony bottle thread.
