When the loops break on ours, we replace them with Zipties.

No loops on my HOG fins, just a tab that I never use anyway. Sliding a finger under the side works every time. The molded loops on my F-1's I like as once the fin is on they lay against the back of the leg and don't stick out some do.

I dive OMS slipstreams and they came with the stock spring straps and I didn't like the big rubber piece on the back of the heel. It was a pain to me when going through a low cave. They seemed to continually catch on the ceiling and it felt as if my fins were going to come off sometimes. I changed the spring straps out to the Halcyon ones and they definitely are more comfortable to me in tight places as there is nearly as much to hang up. Of course I don't dive with gloves much but when I have I never had any problems getting the fins on or off.

I used ziptie loops on my homemade bungie straps. Not pretty but work well.

I use bungee straps and just slide my heavily gloved finger in from near the buckle. I bought some spring straps for the fins and found the bungee was easier to put on and off and was more comfortable underwater. As a result I have a pair of 12" straps for sale (with finger loops).
