Any recommendations on what to get? I don't want to spend a lot, as it's primary use will be under my 6.5 mil semi-dry... I just want to help keep water out around the neck area. Any input is appreciated!

Thanks

Murdock I'm a litle confused...The Isotherm comes with a hood included in the package. Didn't you get one with yours?

I do know that you can buy the Isotherm Hood, Gloves and Boots seperately if you need a replacement or backup.

Also, the hood on the Isotherm is advertized as making it even MORE sealed than if you were the suit without the hood. The neck is typically the worst place for wter exchange due to your forward movement causeing a scoop effect. The hood(supposedly) cancelles this effect if worn properly.

I've got the Henderson Gold Core Coldwater hood and it works great. I've only dove in mid 40F temp water but wasn't cold in the slightest.

Beast has a hooded vest that he wears under his cold water wetsuits. It has totally eliminated the cold water river down his back! I think he paid about $90 for it.

I did get the hood with it, but I've heard you can increase your warmth (for ice diving, etc) by wearing a hooded vest along with the hood it comes with. I guess I'll wait until I use it to see if it will be necessary. I've just seen vests for around $50, so the investment wouldn't be bad if it works right.
