Looking for feedback and information

My buddy and I are booked on the Discovery 1 for the June 14 and June 21 sailings. Although I have previously done a couple of trips to the Rea Sea, I was hoping for more current information on the anticipated average water temperature during that time so as to determine exposure protection.

We are scheduled for BDE on one week and North Wrecks, Ras Mohamed, Tiran and Safaga on the other week.

Also....any feedback on that boat?

It comes after 16 accidents involving liveaboard dive boats in the Red Sea in the last five years, UK investigators say.

Sea temperature will be 25°celsius or more, so 5mm suit should be enough. If you are chilly, take 7mm, and open it if too hot...

In june, when you'll be aboard, the temperature should be bearable because of the wind, but on land, it will be hot... take a heavy grade sun protector ! (and a cap like this, of course )

Thanks Edward. Yes....I am aware of the concerns and have been following the Dive Magazine multi-part article about the Sea Story. Although I have generally been alert during safety briefings on LOB's and have personally checked out evacuation routes, I will have a hightened awareness going forward.

Thanks for the advice....much appreciated. I have a large Tilley type hat and another one that is perhaps more subtle than the one you recommended.
