That's great news about the dive charter! Will he be going out of the St Lucie Inlet?

Treasurecoastdiver - As soon as the weather clears up I'll be looking to get in the water again. I'll let you know when I've got a shore dive planned.

Orlando Eric,
I almost tried to contact you last week to see if you wanted to join us on an expedition to the Halsey. Pretty good dive. Vis was not the best as you can see from the pictures. Found it with my side scan sonar without too much trouble.

Can’t tell if you ever made it out there. Ran across you talking about really wanting to go while I was looking for info on the wreck. Not much about her out there.
Have pictures at stevengann.com Sorry about the link but newbees can't post links.

Lukebear-- The boat is currently docked in Fort Pierce. The south bridge to Hutchinson Island east side where the Black Pearl once was (or still is not sure). It is a Bertram with a dive flag on it.

ReelBad-- That would have been awesome I have still not made it there. My "boat friends" who say they are going always seem to fall through or get blown out. The diving around here is slave to the mother nature..

Thanks for the location. Do you know when he is going to start running dive trips?

I've been lucky. Diving the TCoast since 68. Never felt uncomfortable even around the young bulls in low viz. I've been bumped twice in that time and it was in very dirty water. I'd be a lot more uncomfortable if I were wading or swimming.

Treasurecoastdiver,

We enjoyed diving the bridge with you and Bruce today, we hope you guys can make it tomorrow. I guess we can hope for better viz, but I'm not counting on it!!:D

scubajim-- really. I have never actually "fended" one off I just have cautioned due to the tales of the salty divers I know and their experiences. They seem scarier diving here in 20' than they do at 135 on the wrecks down south.. hmm wonder why.. (hehe)

Perhaps I should have a couple maritinis before I shore dive here...

I'm in the vero beach and and have recently started diving again. I'd be very interested in some quick shore dives in the area.
