I am looking for an instructor who can help me get rescue diver certification in western NY

Fellow WNY'er!!!!!

Dip-N-Dive at 500 Niagara Falls Blvd, Bflo., is a NAUI shop that provides a very good class. They typically run one in early summer. Classwork is at the shop, skills are at Windmill Quarry (Canada), and practical is in the river.

Highly recommended!

I've been told by dip n dive I have to wait until June or July , And was told by discover that they would get back to me when they schedule a class, that was a few weeks ago. I am hoping to find someone that I can do a course one on one, or with a couple of my friends. I work 80 hr work weeks during the summer. I would like to take care of it before I get to busy because my daughter is getting certified and I would like to be as prepared as I can to dive with her.

that is the right reason to do it (and the same reason I did it). The guy at D-N-D that does the class (Pat Wolfe) is an excellent instructor. Yep, as temps are less than favorable, it will be a bit of time before the classes take place. From my experience, it is new territory for the folks taking the class, and they are usually WS divers. With that, it is wait for temps..... You might get them to step up if you have a fair number interested, but I wouldn't count on it....... diving here (as you must be aware) seems to be only for the warm water folks in regard to scheduling :(.....
