Hi All,

I'm looking for a dive buddy in the Gallatin Valley. I don't have ice diving cert or dry suit, but may look into it.

Is it possible to dive the firehole in the winter?

hey coldsmoke. Im a lil bit south of you in Blackfoot Id. havnt checked the boards latley... but We travel into Utah and dive a few of the hotsprings during the winter.... also the Firehole is only accesible by snowmobile in the winter, I dont believe the rangers patarol it much so you probably could dive it, but the 30+ mile snowmobile trip back out might suck.... also I know in the spring they dont let anyone in until late june early july because spring runoff is too high. We do alot of river diving down this way on the snake river, PM me your email or yahoo adress, and we can dive togather, We have talked about diving the lunchcounter rapid in the alpine canyon next summer, if your up to that sort of thing..
