It was talking about the damage, not the repair technique. It didn't say:

This technique is only for use above the waterline.
or
Damage below the waterline cannot be repaired.

Water in the hull problems seem to affect older whalers, and the water is deeply
saturated into the foam. Read up on "chainsaw whaler". That wouldn't happen in a few
hours, and since it's all open, it will dry anyway. So that's not an issue with that Conquest.
And any other boat wouldn't have come home under their own power. A massive hole that size would have made any boat
a write off. I think that Conquest is going to turn out to be a hurricane-damaged boat
that was repaired, and should have been written off.
