Spend 20 days in the field in Missouri or Arkansas and you will learn to hate brown recluses...little buggers look like daddy long legs with fangs. I've got a picture of what happens when a bite is left untreated in my old army gear somewhere...I'll dig it up for you visual types. :D
 
Other than Tarantulas, the only good spider is a dead spider, in my book. At least when it comes to in and around my house.
 
My boss got a brown recluse bite to his thumb a couple of months ago, and I found one in my basement right after that. It is now an ex-spider.

I don't think Hunstsman spiders are particularly jumpy, Alcina, although I have never met one in person! :)
