Long Beach SCUBA show gear prices

Does anyone know how much of a discount one can typically get on new gear at the Long Beach SCUBA show? A sales guy at Sport Chalet told me they are having HUGE discounts, does anyone have any idea percentage wise how much one can save there compared to online stores such as liesurepro or scubatoys.com? Or is it all hype?

Roughly how much would a $400 reg go for there? Or a $500 BC?

Thanks and of course I know it is impossible to predict the future, so any past experience would be helpful.

Of course this varies from vendor to vendor, and there is less gear for sale there in recent years. However, the Show itself is great fun and there are some very good travel deals.

Although I buy exclusivley from ECO Divers, Sports Chalet always has some great deals on closeouts, etc., so I'm sure deals cam be found. Also, several of the other smaller vendor booths (i.e. Backscatter) have deals. Look around deals can be had!!
