So did any of you dive it today? Just curious since we are on page 3 of talking about it and so far the parking lot seems to be the highlight of the trip. :D
Actually, one of the highlights was the blond girl playing tennis on the courts on the other side of the parking lot ;) :D
Vis about 3-4 meters, max. depth reached 6.2 meters, thermocline at around 5 meters and fairly cold under it. Can't say exactly how cold maybe someone else?.
Interesting "wall" formation, if you call a 6 meter wall a wall.
Some fish, fairly small but saw an ugly, gray and fairly big fish, not a clue what fish it is.
Some sunken trees, railways and an underwater tunnel to the other quarry.
All in all, not bad at all :D

Great fun. All-in-all 8 1/2 of us showed up (Steve's father came but didn't dive).

Very easy entry, grass area to suit up, dirt path to quarry's edge, big natural rock deck for super easy entry, even natural steps! (it's a quarry)

Dropped in straight to bottom along sheer wall. Very warm near surface (71), cold near bottom (55). We went hoodless, but it was tolerable. Vis ranged from 0 to 10ft.

Our first stop, bicycle - alas, unrideable. Then railroad tracks (I guess I thought they'd be, you know, horizontal and on the floor). Swam through and around them. Got hooked. Spent five minutes extricating self from fishing line. Tracks got us turned around, came up south instead of north of entry point. By this point Steve and Dennis were at other end of quarry!

Swam along south wall (sheer, 20 feet, lots of interesting nooks & crannies), passed S&D team, swam for whole length of quarry (400 yards?), crossed, came back along north wall.

Lot's of sunken treasure to see, lots of wall to scale, we didn't see much in the way of fish, tho others did.

Dennis sez there's a tunnel under the road that goes to the other quarry. Have to save that for next trip!

BT: 46min. Depth: 26ft

Very enjoyable. Can't wait to go back.
