Greetings you all: In addition to being a diver, I work as a law enforcement officer. Today, a man brought in very high quality tank compressor he bought online from a (possibly shady) seller out of the Chesapeake area. When the compressor arrived in California, the buyer discovered some of its serial numbers had been destroyed. The innocent purchaser contacted me to report what he believes is a stolen compressor.
I am looking to find anyone who is missing such a compressor. It is a Bauer powered by a Robin/Subaru engine, made about 2012. Bauer was not able to find the owner based on the partial serial number. So if the rightful owner is out there, he should be able to supply the full serial numbers, of which only a two in the middle are missing.
Anyone who thinks what I described here may be their stolen compressor may reach me at Tehama County Sheriff's Office.
Email me at cdada@tehamaso.org if you know anyone missing this type of compressor.
