Local Dive this Friday Morning 8/10?

Damn, I had really good directions to Aurora on the Annual RMO thread, but I guess they disappeared with the previous server outage...

Mapquest it!

Once you are there,
turn from Quincy onto Powhaton Road to enter the park
Follow the road and keep a look out for the Archery Range/Dive Beach turnoff on the left (sign is on the right).
Take a left, and you will run right into the dive beach parking are just past the archery range.

* ONE member of the group should get a plackard (unless you all relish paying $5 each for something you can share).
* Placards are at the main entrance, and the cost is $5
* An entrance fee of $5 per vehicle is required. You can pay this at the Dive Beach parking area. When you enter look to the left for the self serve box.
* We generally drive multiple cars/trucks down to the dive beach to unload.
* Make sure everyone is loaded up at the end of the day before whom ever has the placard takes off.

I usualy just bring my kids little green wagon and walk over to the beach. There's a sidwalk for most of the way. That way you don't have to deal with the placard/key but if there's a bunch of us then...

Mapquest will tell you to take E-470 and you'll need to pay tolls unless you select the 'no toll roads' option in you search. There's a way to get there without tolls and it's only about 5 mintues more.
