Why did I think it's 10? Hmmmm... I guess that just means they will be more next time I go. Glad I found this out now :) Thanks!

One, from Back Beach, for the season.

And how pathetic is that? :headshake :lol3:

To my defense though, I've only done 5 dives for lobster so far.

With my buddy, we've had days when we have have approached 40 in past years, with a 2-3 dives off a boat.

Off the shore, if I take 5 myself that's a very solid day.

I got 26 by myself a few years ago doing 2 tanks in my "secret spot". I haven't come close to repeating this in the last few years. Now that we can only take 10, I have limited out twice this year.

"You shoulda been here a few years ago. Lobstahs everywheah!"

Why only 10? my new license says 15

My buddy and I had some really good days outside the harbor this summer. We probably averaged 8 good-sized keepers each at our very own "secret spot." Off the shore, I'm usually good for 4-5. The record is 15, which worked out well because I was having a party that night.

This was one of our better days. Not too bad. If I remember right there were three divers, but only two lobstering.

Considering you were diving for lobsters in a place where tons of people dive for lobsters, it's about what I'd expect. You'll have better luck lobstering from a boat, or from a beach that's inconvenient to park at. Easy access means lots of competition.

My record is 6 keepers in a 20 minute dive off Outer Brewster (site of the proposed LNG facility).
