smoking :-( ) My altinator is gone. Im heading out to get one now
and a new belt. I should be ok for tonight!

Wow! Not exactly what I was expecting at tonight's meeting (in a good way). 99% divers all of whom stayed calm and had valid concerns which they articulated well. So well in fact that I didn't even need to speak. As with all State hearings, there is no way to predict how the reg's will turn out but I'm hopeful. If the new reg's go into effect, the date will be July 15. Nice to meet some fellow NELD's too. Now to actually USE my lobster license

went in with a total open mind not knowing what to expect. It was an educating experience.

as decapoddiver and rickl both said, 99% of the people had valid arguments and some good data to back up their points. Lets hope we made enough of an impact for them to reconsider.

good to meet some new NELDers as well and hope to get back in the water soon.
