We are thinking about this for our 20th next year...but we "love" shore diving. Is there shore diving available at the resort or elsewhere on the island? If not, how many boat dives do you get a day?

BTW...thanks for the great report.

LCBR runs 3 boat dives a day (2 tank am, 1 tank pm), and schedules 1 night dive per week, though they'll run more if enough people will go. Often it doesn't happen, as the place has a way of making guests very lazy.

They are on a shallow lagoon (as are most of the other resorts) so no shore diving from the resort. It's possible to shore dive but the logistics are problematic for the typical visitor so I believe rarely done - it's been discussed in a number of threads for example

Great report...I've dove Grand Cayman many times and you've convinced me to make a trip to Little Cayman...thanks!

You will absolutely love it! I have dove Grand Cayman a couple of times and really enjoyed it but in my opinion, it just doesn't compare to Little Cayman. Granted there isn't much nightlife but I can get all of that I want at home.

Damn I was thinking BA Barracus from "A-Team". If you don't know who that is you are officially a youngster!

I still see that guy now and then making commercials. I remember that show well. They always had to knock out "Mr. T" when it came time to fly.

My first foreign dive trip overseas anywhere was to Little Cayman and LCBR, over eleven years ago. Thanks for the report . . .now I'm tempted to make a return and see how much has changed.

It was my first time staying at the LCBR but some friends of ours had stayed a few years ago. The big change they said was the rooms. While always nice rooms in the past, now they are 5*. They just did a $1,000,000 renovation. It was probably the very best dive vacation I have ever had!

I'm sure you would not be disappointed in a return trip! Hope you get a chance to go again.

We go to LCBR every year. By far the biggest change is the rooms. What a great renovation job. As always, the diving did not disappoint either.
