Hi,
The best thing after a full day of diving is sitting on the veranda with a
nice cold drink. My drink of preferrence is a good sipping tequila (agave).
We are heading to Roatan in May and was wondering if there is a good
liquor store for purchasing. Selections good?
We are very low key folks and do not necessarily enjoy the bar scene.
Prefer to sit at the rental with each other or inviting other divers we meet over for
a cocktail.

It largely depends on where your veranda is !

In the West end you can't swing a dead Watusa (Agouti) without hitting a rum vendor. The prefered poison locally is Flor de Cana.

The two grocery storers sell more of the older and expensive variants, but remember that the one on French Harbor is closed on Saturday while Coxen Hole is not. The cheapest place I have found to buy it is in Bario Fuerte, any cab driver will know where to take you, but unless you were passing by, the savings aren't worth the fare.

You can get Tequila, but you'll also get a funny look for free.

There are many duty free stores dotted all over the island. Liquor even the good stuff is extremely cheap. Enjoy, and as Doc recommends, do try the Fleur de Cana, the Centanario 12 year old is the best.

Hey will where's my rum?

I am a tequilla man myself (Correlejo Anejo), but all I drank there was Flor de Cana 7/12. The stuff is amazing, and dirt cheap. The 7 is like 5$/bottle.
