Latest and greatest we all know might have a bug or two. LV is a small company working through it and I'm sure will make it right. Come over and will drop the unit in a gallon of gray goose. Or maybe just ourselfs? :D

You think it will actually work if we stick it in grey goose? At least I know ill enjoy the vodka ;)

Tim, have you downloaded the last software update? The shutoff problem was a software glitch.

Nope. I have looked a number of times and havent seen it on the webpage, and I havent gotten any communication from LV at all (although I hear that they push out the updates via email). I dont think Doug likes me ;)

I dive the ocean to enjoy the sea life, spearfish, and I do a deep dive every dive that has depth.
To do more than look at a screen that has depth, bottom time, max depth is all thats needed for me, my pro plus 2 is my newest DC and it is 12 years old with nitrox and air intergrated. I threw it on my tech set up for a record in case of error. My wife at those times does the chamber thing and it does make it easy to just read computer for profile.

Diving has its changes and people need to make money selling things I guess.

Take a regular dive watch, a depth gauge, and air gauge, heres a thought plan your dive on a table. I have gotten to memorize many tables and can do them with out looking at them, and well for rec diving that is a easy table, along with a few nitrox blends.

I have herd so many problems with new DC that I am not sure I would trust one. Of course I am one that has a hard time believing my o2 and helium analyzers, but in saving time and money I have to top them off with what gas is in the tanks. That said I do see a need, but to many taps on a DC is a bit much for safety concerns for me.

Happy Diving

That said, does anyone know if you'll be able to update the xen on a mac or is mac support still in the works?

It's true - I have personally emailed the update to several people for final testing (just as I have with previous software revisions including during the beta-phase), but it is not yet available for public distribution. It will be made publicly available soon, and all Xen owners will receive an email from us when it is.

I am pleased to report the update WILL include the Stopwatch Default (on/off) setting so many people have asked for. We will still do the feature addition we have planned for down the road, but I insisted we include this change now for those people who dislike the current tap sequence required to activate the stopwatch.

Mac will eventually supported, but I do not have a date as to when. I know this is frustrating for many people, but I can only apologize for the delay. I'm as interested in this as anyone in it as I am preparing to "make the switch" with my family too... but no, unfortunately that won't be a catalyst to make it progress any faster. ;)

I will, of course, post any new information here and on our website, and I will email notification of the update to Xen owners when it is ready.

Thank you for your patience.

I understand that it is a new product and that there are glitches, but is it standard company practice to look out for the "friends" while other paying customers get the shaft? I mean, you want time and understanding to make this unit what it should be, but I certainly didn't get a discount for being a beta tester (heck i dont even get the special beta tester emails).

Further, I acknowledge that the stopwatch feature is an annoyance. But I never got any note that there was a "shutoff" glitch. What if I had been on a more serious dive profile and I wasn't a team oriented diver? These problems, if recognized, should be explained to customers. I shouldn't have to find out through an online message board that my 500$ bottom timer has serious issues and only friends or those lucky enough to make it to BTS get the fix. I registered my unit (as required to activate) and I receive no feedback whatsoever.

This is a mess.
