There is going to be a public panel discussion about the lionfish threat and counter measures at moody gardens tonight. This is part of the 2nd Annual Lone Star Lionfish Symposium to address the lionfish threat to Texas Gulf Coast waters.

It is at the Moody Gardens Aquarium. The social starts at 6 pm and the panel discussion starts at 7 pm. There will be representatives from TPWD, Reef, TAMU, and the Nature Conservacy.

I totally don't see a way they would be able to influence the spread of the lionfish beyond bitching about it, perhaps, recommend some "good feel" ordinances that won't do a dent in lionfish population.
