If you dive off the charter boats in the Jupiter area, there is a pretty good chance you will get a chance to poke one in the 60 to 120 ft depths. A simple three prong pole spear should work great.

agreed, I saw two on lighthouse reef on Friday afternoon (while out with Jupiter Dive Center). Unfortunately, no one had a spear and it was too big to kill with a dive knife, which I've done before on the Breakers reef in West Palm Beach. I need to get one of those collapsing pole spears and start carrying it with me

Yes you do! They are really nicely made. Mine will be going with me on my yak dive in the morning.
