Line valve drain?

Would it be a huge deal to use a line valve as a drain valve?

I scored a BIG 5000 psi coalescor, but it didn't come with any fittings. The bottom drain port is 1/4 NPT, and I've got a ton of line valves laying around, but no drain specific plugs.
