Fantom guys sling the bailout tanks.
I’m not sure what a Fantom is, but probably half of Fathom dives are done on a set of Lola’d back mounted manifolded 50s (“Tec”) config, and the other half with SM 85/104/120 “cave” config.

The Choptima guys seem to… (different mix in each tank).
That is big dumb.

Thought so too.

Air in one tank. He dil in the other. Guessing that there isn't a reg on each tank. Will look for that next time.

That is big dumb.

To repeat, I don’t do it but have given it some more thought recently.

If the two cylinders are within one standard gas of one another I could see some minimal benefits to dil flushing and OC bailout or gas sharing. I insist both cylinders are useable at MOD.

Trimix on one side and air or deco on the other is just lazy or straight up madness.

Have you even considered sidemount?
Yes, but enjoying what I am doing right now, so haven’t pursued it. When I get bored diving single and pony, I will look at SM.
