I have a loop of bungie, maybe 2 inches in diameter, that loops through a bolt snap. The arrows "snap" onto this. When I was backmount I put a d ring on my crotch strap near my backplate / transpac. In sidemount I have a d ring on the back / bottom of my harness (same location as backmount, that I clip it to. If I am using a few for multiple jumps I can place this on my chest, crotch or other d rings. If not I keep them in the back. Even in tight cave I have never had a problem with this method of storing them on a back d ring. Remember, you can have them in a certain location, but you can also move them during a dive if necessary. This can also apply to reels, spools, stage bottles, and other equipment you may have with you. Situational awareness is always important as things can change in a cave during one dive. You as a diver control how fast or slow you dive and adjusting things when necessary.

One of my lightheads has a piece of thick bungee tied thru the goodman handle going over the top of the lighthead. It makes a good place for a few arrows or cookie...

My drysuit has pockets, and I usually store them there on the way in, hunt/pull them as needed... Then when they get pulled out on egress, I just place them on the bungee for the ride out...

Interesting. I have a loop on my chest, and since I dive side mount it seems pretty protected.

However, I would like to see a pic of these on your light head. That sounds like a very good idea.

Is it just a loop near a D ring?

If you are only planning on using a couple of arrows/cookies, the bungie on the Goodman handle works very well in my opinion. Keep a couple there and the rest in your pocket or somewhere else in an out of the way place.

I'd be even more careful in 'sidemount' passage.
when I got hung up it was in a really tight spot when I was right on top of the line

I just ordered two wetsuit pockets, found them on sale, and some Aquaseal. I will have to examine the pig tail option as well.

If I dive my wetsuit, I also have a pair of x-shorts that I wear. However, when my x-shorts wear out (they are well on their way) I will just add the pockets directly to the wetsuit.

You're going to want to also tack down the corners of the pockets at a minimum. There will be a lot of force applied to the corners and top of the pockets and adhesive alone may not be enough to keep them attached. They make polyester thread that works well for sewing on pockets. I'd also use a neoprene cement rather than aquaseal for the adhesive.

If you're going to be carrying arrows and cookies, the pigtail is the way to go.
