I do all my basic sewing repairs on my backpacking and dive equipment. I have heard that the sides need to be stitched. Thanks for the reminder.

I am not looking to use the x shorts, rather save up for the dysuit.

Personally, I'm not going in a cave without pockets. Pockets allow you to clip something off AND stow it behind smoother fabric. Buddies sometime catch stuff dangling out and I put it away better. So to me, essential safety gear is not left dangling from chest or butt d-rings where things could fall off or get snagged. Its not properly stowed unless its in a pocket.

I only had to spot $20 on some new pockets a friend never used. Imagine, that, just asking and finding a great deal. I will be installing them once I clean my wetsuit.

Don't waste your money on scuba specific adhesives, I wouldn't bother sewing the pockets unless you can do it yourself either to be honest.

Goto Lowes or Home Depot and buy a tube of GOOP, stick a coffee can in your wetsuit leg and slather on a copious amount of this cheap **** all over. I've done this to two wetsuits now that have well over 200 dives each and lots of abuse and they show no signs of coming off... at all. Its a $6 solution to a very easily DIY thing. Its waterproof and isn't effected by UV rays. Beats the hell out of anything you'll get from the diveshop as far as glueing stuff all over your wetsuit.

My arrows stay in my pocket. If I'm expecting lots of navigational decisions, I clip it off to my primaries lighthead.

Interesting. I have a loop on my chest, and since I dive side mount it seems pretty protected.

However, I would like to see a pic of these on your light head. That sounds like a very good idea.

I would take a pic, but Terri has absconded with all my dive gear... :D

Oh - hi hon.... :kiss2:

I'll see if I can post one this weekend - it really is quite simple... nvrmnd - adm posted a decent one... tho its a funky looking lighthead.... what make is that?
