OK, here's a question for any "Grissom's" out there. I dive pretty much every weekend to an average of 100' for 45 minutes. I wear a Viking drysuit with the latex hood covered by a neoprene hood. My question is: could lice (or knits) survive that exposure? The reason I ask is that some of the people I work with have had the lice problem but I have never as of yet had to deal with it. Any diving entomologists out there?

Hi Poogweese,

Yes, body lice (Pediculus humanus corporis), and their "nits," could survive the exposure described.
