How do we Ship?
We ship with UPS (Ground, 3Day Select, 2'nd Day Air, Next Day Air), FedEx 2 Day Air, Overnight), and US Mail (Standard); however, when shipped with US Mail, it takes longer, and it can take up to 8 weeks to track a lost package, For overnight and UPS Second Day Air service Orders should be placed no later then noon EST, We normally process and ship all orders within 48 hours. If you require faster service, phone your order in before noon (Eastern Standard Time) and specify RUSH SERVICE. We'll get it out the same day at a minimal $5.00 charge and ship by UPS 3 Day Select service. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico will be shipped UPS 2'nd Day Air.

Shipments outside the US: Orders shipped outside the US will be shipped via FedEx only, since overseas orders takes weeks or months to arrive by regular surface mail, except military and APO, FPO addresses, which will be shipped US Mail.

When do we Ship?
We only ship 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, therefore all orders placed after 12:00 PM EST, will ship on the following shipping day.

I have never had a problem with LP, or Ben Ruby. I have always recieved what I ordered when I expected it, and in the condition I expected it to be in.

I placed an order on Friday and basically did not expect it to ship until at least Tuesday because of the holiday. I kept looking for the shipping confirmation, but did not receive any information until Thursday. The email informed me that they had some computer problems with some of their recent orders and that they had just found my order. They offered to bump up the shipping priority to compensate for the mistake. I have never been treated poorly by Leisurepro in the past.

If time is an issue, then perhaps LP is not the purchasing medium for you. You save a crap-load of money, but you have to deal with the inconvenience of shipping.

Just some thoughts.

Alright, now thats its Friday afternoon and I've had my knockoff work drink and the weekend awaits, rather than it being thursday evening after a rank day at work, I can 'take a deep breath' as reefraff recommended and come up with the following.

In the shocking mood I managed to work myself into at the time the thread I submitted was probably a bit melodramatic, and did go a bit overboard at the end of the day in some respects, I can hardly argue otherwise since peoples general view based on the poll is to that effect.

However, I do still standby the fact that LP did do the wrong thing.

Public holidays, weekends and LP not being open on Fridays are all irrelavant as reasons for the package not being able to be shipped until late on the 27th simply because LP assured us it HAD been shipped and was in transit on the 22nd or at latest the 23rd.

I never had unrealistic expectations on the packages delivery, all I knew was once it was sent it would arrive within 5 days thanks to FedEx's guarantee, if LP has actually said, 'look it hasen't been sent due to the public holiday etc it'll leave on the 27th' I'd be fine with that.

I think I've gone on about this more than enough and thats a good enough ending to the story as needs be.

Now I think I'll take reefraffs advice and go diving... But then I'd need the gear from LP to be able to do that... No doubt thats what got me so close to blowing a gasket in the first place ;)

and you may have said.....

What did you buy?

I recently purchased the dive-rite transpac, rec wings, suunto Vyper, and Oceanic reg, octo, and guages from LP....

I'm kinda stuck this weekend watching my son do his confined water dives, so I won't be able to dive the new toys 'til next week when he does his open water dives....

Dive safely...

Sean

Good luck with your order when it arrives! If everything is there your in luck. If not you will be waiting a long long time and they won't be able to tell you when it will be in stock again. My friends gear was sent to her in metric (we're US) and the manual was in Spanish. When she went to return it, took numerous numerous phone calls to get it straightened out and now they don't have it in stock and don't know when they will. Of course they're not authorized to sell it either so the manufacturer warrantys are no good either! Don't think I'd trust LP's warranty department if they couldn't even handle the return and they sent her something totally useless to begin with!!

While I've experienced just the kind of thing you describe (Mk20 received with DIN rather than yoke - handled adequately by LP), the tone of your response sounds like you may be employed by an LDS. Not that you would have any motivation to scare someone away from LP.

I tried to order a replacement mask for one that had been lost. Since I'm on the ship, I need my billing address and my shipping address to be different (being as my shipping address changes a bunch). Now their system looks like you can do this (there are two different sets of information to fill out)...but if you change one the other automatically changes with it.

I finally called the order in....they were just very inflexible...me not having a phone number to give them was nearly a deal breaker. The fact that there was extra information in my shipping address just about blew the guys mind. The whole thing was just way to hard (with a lot of putting me on hold to find out if he could procede)....when my order was finally taken and completed, I asked for an e-mail confirmation...they said that wasn't possible since I ended up with a phone order instead of a web order...said it's a different system. Like I said, just to difficult.. I don't see myself contacting them again anytime soon.

To be fair, I did get my mask in good condition when I expected it.

Peace,
Cathie

Cathie,

It sounds like you got a different guy than I did....Someone named David did my phone order, and I did get an email confirmation...

Also, he seemed quite familiar with their ordering software....

Cheers,

Sean
