I've read different things about the water temp recently. I have my 2 mm shortie in the bag now, will that be enough? I can't believe it's that cold in July. Help!

Found this site.

"Water temps are back up in the 80-81 degree range"

Oh, darn, that was on June 27!

I'm packing my 3mm and I'll either use it....or just go in my board shorts and rashguard. Sounds like the 3mm though.

This is better info:

Today's sea temperature in Kralendijk, Bonaire is 79 °F (Statistics for 10 Jul 1981-2005 – mean: 81 max: 83 min: 79 °F)

At least it's current.

We were there 6/20-6/27/2015. Full 3mm and froze my confederate axx off.

Yea I had read your trip report last week. I figure the water temps will be similar to when I went last March (2014) and I stayed warm in my 3mm...I guess that extra fat helps out somewhere :) I did go last August as well and the temps were great. I want to say it was around 83-84 degree water temps, I don't think I touched my wetsuit....didn't even use it for the night dives. When I booked this trip I was hoping for a similar temps, but I'm not complaining!
