This past Saturday, World Watersports put on the largest Discover Scuba event I have ever seen! They set up a portable pool at the Scouts jamboree in Florida City, FL.

We don't have the numbers yet, but there were 60 waivers signed and many had up to 5 names on each. I'm guessing around 100 kids from ages 6 to 15 tried out scuba there. (The scouts also had a climbing wall, canoes, archery, pellet gun shooting, and tomahawk throwing going on.)

Here are some of the photos, they speak for themselves!

What made it work so well was taking the scuba intro to them!
It was a great experience, and I commend all the great people at World Watersports for all their hard work!

I'm glad that Zeagle could help out by supplying dive gear.
I had a blast fitting kids in gear all day and watching their faces!

I did a discover scuba @ Ft A.P. Hill, Virginia about 11 years ago. The experience made me continue my education in SCUBA.

I just want to add something to Chad's post about the number of Discover Scubas we did this past weekend. The total was 113 scouts - ages 8 to 18! This was a fantastic and fun event for the kids...made all the better thanks to Chad's help and the generosity of Zeagle!

The hit of the event was Zeagle's new Rapid Diver that we used along with our regular scuba units. The Rapid Diver is absolutely fantastic to introduce both kids as well as adults to the sport. One size fits all, exceptionally fast adjustment, light weight, and FUN to dive with. At least half or more of the scouts had the opportunity to use the new system and it made a great impression on them as well as the parents and scout leaders.

It was great to see so many cubs, boy scouts, venture scouts, and their parents and leaders out having so much fun this past weekend. Everyone was having a great time and kudos to all those who worked so hard to make this a fantastic weekend for the kids!

There were also maybe a half dozen little kids, 6 yrs and up, that just snorkeled, and then breathed off a scuba regulator while the instructor held the pack.

It was awesome that around 120 kids got introduced to the sport!
