Yeah,

So, where all can you use the T. C. Park Pass (for diving, of course)? Obviously not at barstow's, and I assume not at Mansfield (LCRA) right?

The pass is good for Windy Point,Mansfield Dam,Tom Hughes and Hippie Hollow (with upgrade charge).
The parks on the lake are owned by the LCRA but operated by Travis county (or something like that)
http://www.co.travis.tx.us/tnr/parks/ The annual pass is a much better deal than the pass at Barstows.

As for water temperature, well,I got a drysuit last year. Only way to dive Travis in the winter :)

Uhhhh, can I borrow it, wanna check out my reg tomorrow:) :D

(just j/k ian, warm is always better 'cause can stay in water longer comfortably. Am currently to financially challenged to consider purchase of DS anytime soon, but am able to do fine with 7mm john and top plus bucket o' warm water to precharge suit)

It might be a good time to try Hippie Hollow. It shouldn't be too nippley yet.

It's not too nippley out there, but its definitely too peckery for my tastes... Plus I hate hiking the rocks to get to the water, and then once in, a nice, gradual, featureless slope off to the river bed, unless you can find the f** cruise site from a few years back. One of the Instructors at AAS says there's still tons of crap sitting on the bottom out around 70', but it takes almost a full dive to find the site. But yeah, until the day Hippie Hollow is infested with 20 year old bomb blonde shells, and not a man in site, I think I'll stick with WP or Mansfield. And on that note, has anyone ever been almost violated like a young child at Michael Jackson's place by a boat launching from Windy Point?
