What are the conditions at Travis lately? I see from the Windy Point web site the surface water is 86 degrees-F to about 85 at 50'. Has anyone been down to 90 feet? How bad is the thermocline.

My wife will do a deep dive for her AOW. Just curious.

Thanks

My husband is down there right now. He said the temp at about 100 feet is 62 degrees. Vis does not clear up until about 70-80 feet.

I was at 80' yesterday and it was still 82 degrees. Thermocline must be between 80' and 100'.

At 70' it is fairly dark. She should take at least a small light.

She doesn't have to go to 90' for AOW. 60' is the requirement and the instructor will assess the circumstances.

Just did 5 deep dives there today and yesterday,,,,,with the deepest at 123'/64f/30ft. vis.. Thermo at around 60-70'....below 80' is dusky and below 100' is just dark. Above 70' it was warm but vis was rotten.
