Deadly diving accident in Traunsee - General News - Austrian Independent Online News - English Newspaper
A 52-year-old diver died following an accident accident in Traunsee lake near Traunkirchen, Austria.

The experienced German diver was underwater together with a 36-year-old man when he ran into difficulties.

They had dived to 51 metres and had began their ascent. When they got to eight metres the 52-year-old ran into difficulty.

He then made an emergency ascent. However when he reached the surface the man collapsed.

Shortly after he ascended from his dive he died despite attempts to save him by fellow divers and paramedics.

Both of the men were experienced divers and had all the correct equipment.
