Steve's right. Mohave is better, and only about a 90 minute drive from Vegas. LakeMeadTony is the resident expert, but I haven't seen him on the Board in a while. For information on shore diving and photos of the 2 lakes, check out my website - Southwest Scuba. There's a drop down menu under the Dive Sites link. Lake Mead is in the Nevada section and Lake Mohave is in the Arizona section.
