Anybody ever dove this lake, it's near Gainsville. I will be going there in a couple of weeks with some friends and I'm thinking about taking my gear just to play around. Just seeing if it's even worth me loading everything up in the car!:D

You should be able to find tons of golf balls. I had a friend that lived on the lake when I was in high school. We would go out after dark to "dive" the lake near the greens. This diving included cutoffs, no tank, no fins, no mask, no snorkel...well you get the picture. We carried off several hundred balls in one night once.

The visibility is probably no better or worse than any other Texas mudhole. Probably not real deep. I remember the dry side of the dam being about 60' below the pool elevation. With silting, that probably would be in the 45-50' depth.

My sister lived out there until about a year ago when she moved to Misery...er, um...Missouri.

If you dive it, post a report. I still have family up there and may want to check it out at some point in the future.

I think will, might have to be a solo, but if I can find some golf balls that is worth gold!
