You can still get in 100 hours in 14 sessions. Not to quibble but there were 22 sessions in the recent past, not 25. Prior schedules included make up classes and often an optional class. Not everyone made all sessions anyway.
My guess is they are trying to make the course more accessible to people. Most people can’t do both Saturday and Sunday from July through October. Then, of course, there is the issue of getting enough volunteers to teach for that time period.
